    This was my first attempt at making what you would think to be a very simple angel food cake. I accidentally set it on the wrong bake time (too low), so when I checked it 35 mins later, the inside was still soupy. I raised the temp, the whole thing flash cooked and exploded after about 5 minutes and voila! The mess you see here.

    You know, some of our worst disasters usually end-up tasting really good no matter how bad they ended up looking...;o)

    LOL, this is exactly how the very first angel food cake I made turned out. You are SOO not alone! LOL I bet it was still really good to eat right out of the pan!

    I love this picture! I can see you did not have to turn this one upside down after baking it to make it rise. See you just skipped a step. :) Hope you don't mind if I nibble a bit on the well done crust. That is my favorite part.
