Thanks for the compliment, Janet. Steven, if your interested , I have a really good chicken pot pie I always make using Bisquick. It 's called "Chicken Pot Pie with a Herb Crust". I will bump it up for you! Janet's suggestion of using refrigerated biscuits for the top crust is an easy and tasty idea too! -- Jennifer "Every Saint Has A Past, Every Sinner Has A Future"

Steven, one of the recipes here on the Campbell's site calls for that "All Purpose Baking Mix" too, and I'd go with Jennifer's advice and use a packaged mix as well (all purpose flour on its own wouldn't give you the same result). Jennifer knows her way around a kitchen! If you have time, take a look at the reviews of the recipe too - people who've tried it have so many interesting variations, including substituting refrigerated or frozen pie crust, or puff pastry, or refrigerated biscuits for that top crust. Here's the recipe for Campbell's Easy Pot Pie, and the reviews link from that page. Oh, and welcome to this friendly group! • Janet -- Edited by 2549249 at 05/17/2009 9:19 AM PDT

Hi Steven! Bisquick is all- purpose baking mix. I have made the chicken pot pie before using Bisquick. It's delicious! Let us know how yours turns out . -- Jennifer "Every Saint Has A Past, Every Sinner Has A Future"

Pot Pie Crust and "All Purpose Baking Mix"

I have never cooked anything more elaborate than an omlet. I keep asking my girlfriend to make a chicken pot pie but she never has. I thought, I'll do it. So I sign up and look up the recipe here and it says to use "all purpose baking mix" I have never heard of such a thing, so I look it up on google and see that it says to use Bisquick or Krustez. I also noticed a person asking this question. So I look and a bunch of experts are arguing about the use and terminology. This makes me unsure of which to use. I just want to know if I should use "all purpose flour" or "Bisquick" for my pot pie. If you want to read the discussion here is the link... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061223203254AAHFixe
