    Kathy....

Made it with chops... GREAT!....:-x More of a cooking method to me, than it is a recipe. Thanks a million.

Almost forgot: the chops made a wonderful meal - thanks.

    Janet,

What an awesome idea! Never occurred to me to make a pot pie out of it, but I'm certainly going to now! :)

    Jennifer-
LOL! I think we share some things in common, especially about the spice cabinet. Mine spans across two different cabinets. I'm glad to know that I can post anything here. I'm going to have a blast posting! Glad I found this site!!!

Hi Kathy, and welcome to this friendly group!

Reading your gloriously easy recipe, I was thinking that it would make great leftovers too, for the next day's lunch, or even to cook the chicken ahead as the basis for the meat and gravy of a chicken pot pie. Thanks! • Janet

Kathy, I wondered that at first , too! Yes, you can post any recipe and it doesn't have to include Campbell's products. Alot of my recipes , though ,I 've discovered, do include alot of these labels. I am very interested in your recipes- we sound like we share some of the same cooking principals-you should see my spice cabinet-lol!

I will post my chop recipe later tonight.

FYI, I am mostly a from scratch cook and self-taught. My mother would kill me for saying this, but she was pretty much a salt and pepper cook......she rarely used spices and everything was fried. It was hard for me to grow up in that house because I've always been fascinated with cooking. So, as an adult, I've taught myself. As I get more familiar with the message board and this website, I'll post other recipes I've concocted. BTW, am I allowed to post recipes that don't call for Campbells or the other lables I see above?

David-Pork chops? Never thought of that one. :) However, soon I will give you the very best pork chop recipe you've ever had. They are so tender, you can cut them with a fork! My kids beg for them! Kathy

On nights when I'm too tired to cook and need to prepare something easy, I usually make this dish. The family loves it!

    Oven 350 degrees

6 -8 boneless chicken breasts or thighs
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can low sodium chicken broth
    salt and pepper to taste

Sprinkle a little salt and pepper over the chicken and lightly brown in a skillet over medium heat (about 3-5 minutes).

Meanwhile, whisk together soup and broth. Spread a thin layer of this mixture in a 9x13" baking dish. Add browned chicken and cover with remaining soup/broth mixture. Bake for 45 minutes or until mixture thickens to desired consistency. ( I usually bake until the sauce is thickened like gravy, and have not paid much attention to the baking time. So time is approximate.) Serve with mashed potatoes.
