Interesting thought, ketchup in chicken/tuna/egg salad! I never would have thought of it. Thanks for the recipe! And thanks to Cin for the ringing endorsement (I hope you're healing up well - take care of yourself).

Angela, I didn't really taste the ketchup...it just seemed to give it more of what you say a....Russian Dressing\Thousand Island sorta-of a taste. Was very good.

Cindi..welcome back (looks like you've not been posting in a long time). Your Tuna Salad recipe sounds wonderful.....sounds like a lot of the items a lot of us here like to add in.

I like everything you've added, and like to add chopped pickles (sweet, dill, bread`n butter....any or all of them). Cranberries also go well with the rest of the items in your recipe.

YummmmmmmmmO...I think I'm gona have a great Tuna or Chicken sandwich today!!!!!!!! Thanks for the reminder.

TODAY WAS THE FIRST TIME I WAS ALLOWED IN THE KITCHEN, IF I'D ONLY DO AN EASY RECIPE.......
WELL I MADE THIS TUNA AND IT WAS DELISH...I HAD NEVER IN MY LIFE PUT TOMATO KETCHUP IN TUNA BEFORE, AND I HAVE TO SAY CINDI WAS RIGHT, DON'T LEAVE IT OUT.

I DIDN'T HAVE ANY APPLE OR CARROTS TO GRATE AND PUT IN SO I DICED UP A PICKLE SPEAR, SOME DICED UP GREEN AN RED BELL PEPPER AND SOME PURPLE ONION....OTHER THAN THAT, I DID PUT IN EVERYTHING ELSE SHE SUGGESTED (I PUT IN 3-EGGS).

I WRAPPED THE TUNA SALAD IN AN ORGANIC ROMAINE LETTUCE LEAF AND CUT SOME LONG SLICES OF COLBY CHEESE TO RUN DOWN THE MIDDLE AND THEN WRAPPED IT IN A SOFT FLOUR TORTILLA...MADE A VERY NICE ''WRAP''.

This may sound strange @ 1st, but it's "to die for" - talk about people wanting the recipe! & it's so colorful! (As in all recipes, leave out anything you don't want, add to, or adjust the amounts as these are appx.) Enjoy! :)

2 cans of tuna, drained - or chicken, turkey, ham, egg (I use light, packed in water)
4-6 green onions, chopped (I use mostly the green tops)
1 heaping tablespoon fresh celantro leaves, chopped (or dried)
1/4 cup chopped pecans (or nuts of your choice)
1/2 apple, chopped (I like tart Granny Smiths)
1/2 cup seedless grapes, cut in 1/2 (I use red)
    2 heaping tablespoons carrot, grated
2 tablespoons relish, OR chopped pickle (I use dill)
    2 boiled eggs, chopped
    1 tablespoon dried onion
1 teaspoon season salt (or regular)
2 teaspoons black pepper (I use a garlic blend that comes in a grinder)
    1 squirt catsup (seriously!)
1 squirt mustard (I use yellow)
2 heaping tablespoons mayo (or to your choice of consistency thickness)

Serve any way you like - I like this on toasted wheat sandwiches, & especially on Ritz crackers, or on a bed of lettuce!
