Michelle, I think crawfish has a similar flavor to lobster, though perhaps not as "sweet." Usually, though, it is prepared in a spicy boil, so it's not easy to discern the flavor differences.

Michelle: I am not a fan of lobster so I can't tell you if the crawfish taste similar or not. I would say they have there on unique taste. It took me a long time to learn to eat them. The crab boil gives this recipe a little kick since it is spicy. I keep crab boil in my refrigerator all the time. I like to use crab boil on baked potatos to give them a little kick. I poke a hole in the potato and pour about a teaspoon into the hole. Very tasty. If you try the recipe, let me know how you liked it.

The recipe sounds delish, Crystal. I adore seafood, but have never tried crawfish. Years ago, I went to a restaurant in Beverly Hills and my friends had big plates of crawfish on the table in front of them. I always wondered what it tasted like. Is it similar to lobster? Will have to give it a try, particularly since it is served with fettucinne. Thank you for sharing the recipe and the thumbs up. Also, I have neve tried crab boil. This will be a new experience for me.

Wow, Crystal, thanks so much! Crawfish tails are had to find here, but I think shrimp would work quite well with this recipe too.

This is a recipe I found in the Today in Mississippi magazine. I made this for dinner Sunday night. It was very tasty. Thought I would share it with everyone here. 1 cup finely chopped onion 1 cup finely chopped celery 1 stick margarine (not butter) 1 can cream of celery or cream of mushroom soup 1 (6oz) pkg. low-fat cream cheese 1 large can low-fat evaporated milk 1/4 tsp liquid crab boil 1/8 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp cornstarch 2 lbs crawfish tails, peeled 1 cup colby cheese, shredded Salt, pepper to taste 1 pkg fettucine pasta, cooked Saute onion and celery in margarine until thoroughly wilted. Add soup, milk, cream cheese, crab boil, and garlic powder. Mix cornstarch with a little water and add to mixture. Cook about 10 minutes. Add crawfish and colby cheese. Mix thoroughly. Serve over hot cooked fettucine with french bread and a salad. Hope you enjoy!
