I was just poking around over here. This sounds yummy. I wonder if the kids would like it. I may have to try this if I can get my recipe for my ham that I'm looking for :)

    Hi, Beth.

I hope this is the recipe you recall:

    New Potatos and Peas

This recipe serves 7 and takes 25 minutes to prepare.

    Ingredients
9 small new potatos, about 1-1/2 lbs.
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
    1/3 cup milk
1/2 tsp dried dill weed or thyme leaves, crushed
    1/8 tsp black pepper
1 package frozen peas with pearl onions, thawed and drained
    fresh dill sprigs

    Directions
In a 4 quart saucepan; place potatos. Add water to cover. Over high heat, heat to boiling. Reduce heat to med. Cook 8 minutes or until potatos are fork tender. Drain in colander.

In same saucepan; combine soup, milk, dill weed and pepper. Mix well. Add potatos and peas and pearl onions. Over low heat, heat through.

    Garnish with dill sprigs.

I was raised on Mama's Creamed Peas and Potatoes. I have not had any since my Mom died. The one thing I thought would always be there is my Mom and her cooking. I failed to learn how to fix this dish and I know she fixed it on top of the stove, first the Potatoes then all I know is the peas were added at some point, and the liquid was turned into Creamed like gravy. This was also made during gardening times with New Peas and New Potatoes..Please someone help me find a recipe for this favorite. I wish I had watched more closely now. You can Email your recipes of this dish if you want. bcriqui@hotmail.com
