O.K. no pizza but I made home made chicken nuggets. pre-heat 5 mins and came out great. You'll welcome to join in.

I'm taking the pepperoni off my pizza and throwing it on David's half... My toaster oven doesn't have a pre-heat either.. but I have made biscuits and other baked goods in there.. I let it heat up for about 5 minutes before I baked..and had no issues.. So... when's dinner? I'm hungry!

Hi Penelope! I just recently purchased a new convection toaster oven myself. Mine does not have a preheat button on it either. I have cooked pizzas, biscuits, pot pies, and rolls in mine without pre-heating it and they turn out wonderful. Mine actually has a preset timer for pizzas that actually makes the pizza and crust taste great.

Hi Penny, I know nothing about the subject. I've never preheated but I've only had the smallest of toaster ovens.
Reading on the web, it looks like smaller 2 to 4 slice bread size take about 3 minutes to preheat and larger ones 5 minutes. Some Mfg only say to preheat if broiling/top browning. And to remember to rotate top and bottom tray if cooking with both at the same time.
I like my pizza with pepperoni and mushroom please!

I recently bought a toaster oven that I love. To give you an idea of the size it has two racks for baking and fits a 12" pizza. It does not have a pre-heat light like my big oven, so that's my problem. Does anybody have a pre-heating guide for a toaster oven? I know the hotter the oven the longer it takes and that's about it. Thanks.
