> I am so sorry Cin! I hope you and your town get all the help you need to restore things back to normal. > I am so glad you weren't hurt. Were there any injuries or deaths because of the storm?> > -- > Jennifer Yes...a few. One couple brought their propane grill inside to keep warm and of course the fumes killed them. One couple started their car in the garage to get warm and.....yep you know what happened. That's just a few of the stories of tragedy. Also there are some people going around scamming old people about cleaning up their places. One little lady was on the news, she is an 85 year old who hired the 'Midwest Tree Service' to clean up her yard and they worked for 90-minutes and presented her with the bill for payment.......they charged her $5,000.00 dollars for the 90-minutes and left with her money. Needless to say there will be a lawsuite against them. It is so sad and a shame that people take advantage of older people when they are so tired and confused. She'd been w\o power and sleeping on a cot at a Senior Citizen shelter for 5 nights and was not rested. -- >> ~~>*>Cin(\0/)<*<~~ << >> ><(((*>Jesus<*)))>< <<

We missed the Superbowl......as well as everything shown from Jan 27th to TODAY. No power or cable!!!!!! The ice storm we had was, well......it was devastating. It looks like a war-zone here. -- >> ~~>*>Cin(\0/)<*<~~ << >> ><(((*>Jesus<*)))>< <<

I made this dip and it was so good. We almost ate it all! I served it with Fritos Scoops and Tostitos Scoops , both equally good. Garnished with fresh cilantro, tomatoes, green onions, black olives and pickled jalapenos. Thank you, Cin. I used the Campbells Roadhouse beef and bean chili and it was wonderful. I don't like canned chili and had not eaten any in 4-5 years and I was pleasantly surprised by the Campbells -good job. Best chili I've eaten out of a can. I got it at a great price too-$1.44 a can at Target for a 19 ounce can. -- Jennifer "Every Saint Has A Past, Every Sinner Has A Future" -- Edited by 2864590 at 02/01/2009 8:16 PM PST

Since it turns out it's just the hubby and me today and he's not a fan of cream cheese, I will postpone this for another time. I have a big pot of chili on and will have mine with sour cream, cheese, and diced onions. Yum! -- Lisa

I decided to make this for sure for Superbowl. Going to add cilantro, tomatoes, green onion, black olives to the top when it comes out and serve with tortilla chips and Ritz crackers. Thanks, Cin! -- Jennifer "Every Saint Has A Past, Every Sinner Has A Future"

Yum. I may make a big crockpot full of chili and use some of it to make this for the Superbowl. I usually put all of this stuff in my bowl of chili and then eat it with chips anyway. -- Lisa

Yummy! Perfect for Superbowl! Add a big ol' dollop of sour cream and I'd be in piggy heaven! Wonder what other toppings people could come up with....tomatoes? Onion? hmmmmmmm -- ~*~Angela~*~
