Im not a huge fan of Tomato Soup, but my husband is. I'll have to try this recipe out on him! I may even try some myself! LOL -- ~Angela P.

That sounds delicious! I like to use tomato soup as a "soup base" by tossing in leftover chicken or turkey and some thawed frozen veggies and cooked noodles. Let it simmer and then serve with a nice salad or sandwich.

Your recipe sounds delightful. I also have a variation I use below: Creamy –Chunky Tomato Soup 1 medium onion, chopped 2 Tablespoons butter or margarine 2 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) diced tomatoes, undrained 2 cans (10-3/4 ounces each) condensed tomato soup, undiluted 1-1/2 cup milk 1 teaspoon sugar 1/2 to 1 teaspoon dried basil 1/2 to 1 teaspoon paprika 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, cubed In a saucepan, sauté onion in butter until tender. Stir in tomatoes, soup, milk, sugar, basil, paprika and garlic powder. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in cream cheese until melted. Serve Immediately. Yield: 8 servings (2 quarts). Hint: I usually put some of the warm soup in the blender with the cream cheese to mix – then re-add to the soup/cream mixture to make it smooth. Serve with some Grilled Cheese sandwiches and it is a family hit

Your recipe sounds delightful! I will have to give this a go. Thanks so much. I've used herbed cream cheese (saves a step) & mixed it with pasta/ziti for a quick sauce.

Prepare ahead: Put one 8 oz package of cream cheese in the freezer for 30 minutes; it will be easier to cut when slightly frozen. Combine one can of condensed tomato soup with one can of milk in pot over medium-low heat. Add one can of Hunt's Diced tomatoes with Garlic. Take cream cheese out of freezer, dice into small chunks, and stir into tomato soup. Add italian spices, if desired. Heat soup for about 10-15 minutes. It is simple, but so creamy and chunky! It tastes just like the soup we used to make at the bistro where I used to work. Impress your family and friends--mine were impressed!
