    I made my own jar of Essence once. Here's what is in it!:

    Ingredients

    * 2 1/2 tablespoons paprika
    * 2 tablespoons salt
    * 2 tablespoons garlic powder
    * 1 tablespoon black pepper
    * 1 tablespoon onion powder
    * 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
    * 1 tablespoon dried leaf oregano
    * 1 tablespoon dried thyme

    Yes, Emeril's Essence is my all-purpose seasoning. He was on Martha Stewart today and he said he puts it on everything....except ice cream-lol!
    The Bayou Blast is another great one from him.His spice blends are da bomb-B-)!

    I love Emeril's Essenses! I haven't had a bad one yet. I bought a 3 pack at Costco and used it up.. put the different ones on the different meats.. delicious!!!

    Thanks for the heads up.. my crock pot is ancient but I was thinking about upgrading to a more modern one... I got mine for a shower gift I think.. so that would make it in the 24 year range.

    It was really good! I made it awhile back. The only problem I have is with the time listed. 9 hours in my crock pot and the meat would be mush. I suggest 4-5 hours on low is plenty , especially if you have a newer crock pot, as they tend to cook faster.
    I served it with mashed potatoes and it was tasty-the sauce is excellent.
    I think I browned my roast first and added garlic, Emeril's Essence, pepper and Worcestershire sauce to the recipe.

    Has anyone made that meal of the week that Campbell's suggest? The pork roast looks so good! It does not look complicated to make either.

    If you have made it please share the results ! I would be interested to know if it taste as good as it looks.. If no one has made it..I guess I will be the first one and let everyone know!
