Making this again because top sirloin is 1.97 a pound -that's cheap! Yea! This marinade is also great on pork chops! -- Jennifer "Every Saint Has A Past, Every Sinner Has A Future" -- Edited by 2864590 at 07/07/2009 11:56 AM PDT -- Edited by 2864590 at 07/09/2009 12:49 PM PDT

The meat is so juicy and flavorful with this marinade. I love the addition of grilling the carrots! 1 cup ketchup 1/3 cup French salad dressing 1/3 cup soy sauce 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 2-4 cloves garlic, minced fresh ground black pepper to taste 3 pounds boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into 1 inch cubes 16 oz bag baby carrots 4 tablespoons water 1 pound fresh mushrooms, halved 1 medium red and 1 medium green bell pepper, cut into 1 inch pieces 1 or 2 red onions cut into 1 inch pieces hot cooked rice, optional In a bowl, combine the ketchup, salad dressing, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and pepper. Transfer 1/3 cup to another bowl for basting ;cover and refrigerate. Pour remaining marinade into a large resealable plastic bag ;add steak. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for at least 1 hour-I did mine overnight. Place carrots and water in a microwave-safe dish . Cover and microwave on high for 4 minutes. (TIP: Watch your carrots carefully and adjust the time according to your microwave. My carrots were mush at 4 minutes, I needed 2-1/2 minutes. You only want the carrots soft enough to get them onto the skewer , crisp-tender. By the way , carrots are great on the grill-I never knew that! ) Drain carrots after cooking. Drain and discard marinade. On metal or soaked wooden skewers, alternately thread beef, carrots, mushrooms, bell peppers and onions. Grill, covered, over medium-hot heat for 18-20 minutes or until meat reaches desired doneness, basting frequently with reserved marinade and turning occasionally. Serve with rice, if desired. -- Jennifer "Every Saint Has A Past, Every Sinner Has A Future" -- Edited by 2864590 at 06/30/2009 3:45 PM PDT
