Carol, I just went to the search on this page and typed in sloppy joes. Janet, it's not that sloppy, maybe because I added mushrooms and cooked it down a bit. It's such a tasty beef mixture I was even thing of serving any left overs with noodles....Penny -- chopsticks are the reason the Japanese did not invent custard

Penny, I always like the idea of Sloppy Joes, but not their inherent sloppy-ness! Looking at the recipes on the Campbell's site, I see there's a Sloppy Joes burger recipe; might give that a try one of these days. Celery soup does sound like an interesting variation, along with your mushroom addition!

Hi Penny, I'd love to give this a try - can you tell me where you found the recipe? -- Carol B.

Campbell's Sloppy Joes recipe

I tried this recipe today for two reasons. 1) I work full time and like to keep ahead of meals during the week. 2) I had ground beef in the refrigerator that looked like it had one day left in it's life. I have never used celery soup in sloppy joe's before. It was very tasty. I did add extra ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and two small cans of mushrooms. I also cooked it longer to reduce the liquid. Nice, quick easy meal...Penny -- chopsticks are the reason the Japanese did not invent custard
