Jennifer, I serve it as a main dish for my vevg friends. You can use any mushroom. I have used roasted veges with it (much better, but people mean to try there own twist.). I'm sure some lemon would work well. I'm sure some toasted pine nuts would work well. This is just a guide. add what you like and thing would go well.

Scott, yum......the broccoli idea sounds great. Could I use the cremini mushrooms......the ones that are baby portabellas? Did you serve this as a main dish or did you serve meat and this as a side? Thanks for sharing! -- Jennifer "Every Saint Has A Past, Every Sinner Has A Future"

Pasta with Brown Butter & Mushrooms 1 lb. pasta 1/2 lb. fresh chanterelle mushrooms or any mushrooms you can buy chopped in to bite sized pieces. (I like mushrooms so I use more like a 3/4 - 1 #.) 1 1/2 stick of butter salt Cook pasta, drain, don't rinse. Slightly brown the butter add mushrooms and cook until soft. Don't cook on to high of heat or the butter will burn. Add to pasta and serve. I have added some cooked broccoli, which worked I have added some snow peas at the end, great. (I cut them into bite size pieces)
