I always use Grands! (I love'm) by Pillsbury or I make ones using Bisquick.

My mother made buttermilk biscuits every day. They were wonderful. I made biscuits the first few years of my marriage and decided buying them was a lot easier. Have you ever thought how we rely of so many conveniences of today?

I am going over to Shan's for some biscuits and gravy. :)

HAVE YOU TRIED THE RECIPE ON THE ''BUSQUICK'' BOX??? (NOT THE ''DROP'' RECIPE THE ''ROLL-OUT AN CUT'' RECIPE)
IF YOU DON'T OVER WORK THEM, THEY ARE PRETTY MUCH LIKE THE ONES AT CRACKER BARREL AND KENTUCKY FRIED.

SOMEWHERE ON THE FORUM TOPICS I POSTED A GOOD BISCUIT RECIPE A WHILE BACK.

    --Cin(\0/)

P.S. I FOUND IT ABOUT 20-PAGES BACK INTO THE FORUM PAGES...:^O

    EASY HOMEMADE BISCUITS

    1 tbsp. sugar
    2 c. flour
    3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 tbsp. shortening
3/4 c. milk (or half water and half milk)

Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add shortening and mix together by hand; add milk gradually.
Put flour on wax paper and roll out and cut with tip of any size glass -- dip glass top in flour. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until brown on bottom.

Does anyone have a TRIED recipe for biscuits like you might have at Cracker Barrel? My husband really likes these and I would like to make some for him on the weekends. Of course my mother said it would just be easier to buy the frozen ones and heat them up but I want to give it a try. I'd love to have some recipes....

    Thanks,
    ~Shan
