Hi Kimberly, A friend of mine gave me this recipe and it sounds a bit like the one you're looking for. Maybe you could experiment with it until it is more like your grandmother's recipe. Beef Marguerite 1 pound hamburger 1 large onion, chopped 1/4 cup ketchup 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup Fry hamburger and onion until hamburger is fully cooked; drain. Add soup and ketchup, set aside. Next: 2 cups flour 3/4 cup cornmeal 2 Tbsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. curry powder 1/2 cup shortening 3/4 cup milk Mix flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt and curry powder in a bowl, then add 1/2 cup shortening; cut in until crumbly. Stir in 3/4 cup milk, add more if needed. Dough should be rather stiff. Knead 10 to 12 times on floured board. Roll out to form 12 x 12 inch square. Spread with meat mixture. Roll like a jelly roll and seal seam. Cut into 8 slices and place in greased pan, flat. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Hope this helps. -- Carol B.

Hi Kimberly and welcome to the Table. I wish I had an answer for you on this recipe; it sounds really good! My grandma had a box of recipe cards she ordered from a tv ad one time, I wonder if it's the same set? There were some interesting recipes in there. I'll keep looking and if I find anything that sounds right I'll be sure to come back and post it. Meanwhile, if you find it, would you please post the recipe? I'd love to try it. -- Lisa
