    End of team rainbow!
I disagree with last night's decision to cut Jamie. Although, she was a bit indifferent and arrogant towards the challenge, she was a wonderful chef with a talent for knowing what flavors work together.
Leah , on the other hand , is not an impressive chef and should have been eliminated a few episodes back when she threw Arianne under the bus and let her take all the blame for tying the roasts.
She is unethical and can't cook, she is in no way a Top Chef. She also made out with Josea , which is totally sleazy considering they both are involved with other people back home.
I don't know how she keeps scraping by, but hopefully she will not be in the final four.
I hope Carla wins, but Stephan has a great chance. I am on the fence about Josea. Fabio is my favorite as far as personality goes, he has made me laugh so hard with his honesty and bluntness this season, but I'm not sure his skills can take him all the way.I did vote for him as my Fan Favorite , though.Carla's personality is great too.

On NBC tonight they had Top Chef- New York. I can't get Bravo so I'm wondering if this is the same show or a copy-cat. It's exactly the same as the show you've always talked about on Bravo. If you watched it tonight the refrigerators were left open and everybody pitched in to help save the food.

Meryl, I agree with everything you said! I don't have a fav. yet but I also , am not liking the Europeans-arrogant is the perfect word! I will come back tonight after episode three , and discuss more.
I hope you're enjoying motherhood, when you're not too tired-lol!;)

    I'm heeere....

Been watching but haven't been posting much...I'm on maternity leave and boy, I need the time;)

In terms of first week...I don't know why they bother bringing students on. They never last! You can't get the speed without practice, I'm not surprised at the first (well really second) one that went home.

This past week was less clear. They made such a big deal in the coming attractions about Padma spitting out that one girl's food that I knew she wouldn't be the one leaving! It was kinda silly for the girl who went to use the ostrich eggs if she had no idea what they'd be like.

I'm HATING the Europeans! They are arrogant and annoying and I hope they wind up hitting the road although I 'm not holding my breath. Unfortunately they seem to be the best cooks so far.

I still miss season 2 with Marcel...there haven't been any really good rivalries since then. I love watching the show for the creativity and cooking alone, but the controversy was lots of fun.

What do you think so far?

    Meryl

Ugh, I hate when waiters/waitresses do this! If I finally get a dinner out with my husband and no kids, I have NO desire to be rushed!

That is a great idea...my Hubby and I like to linger over a dinner out too....and if we still have room we like to order a dessert an after dinner coffees.
The last time we went out we had not even finished half of out salads when they brought the entrees.

I'm sure if you go to his restaurant the one thing that will be very nice is everyone getting served the same time. I know he is big on that. I hate going out with my husband on our rare date night and going to a semi-fancy restaurnt...not high like The Palm or Mortons..but one step about say an Outback..and we order a nice appetizer, salad, entree... and one appetizer comes out..and 5 minutes later the next one come out... and they take your dish away and bring the salad while the other starts on the appetizer... that bugs me.. and then you take your time and you can tell the entree was ready 10 minutes earlier cause it is just warm and starting to dry out... OK.. rant over.. this is a pet peeve of mine :)

Penny , I agree with you and I watch that show also. It's called Chef Ramsey's "Kitchen Nightmares". I like that show.I saw the episode you are talking about with the woman complaining-that was funny. He should've thrown her out-she was just complaining to complain, nothing was valid there.

I can't chat with you about Top Chef as unfortunately I don't get it on my cable TV, but I do get Hell's Kitchen. Chef Ramsey is great. I watched him on a show he had where restaurants were going under and he saw the problems and pulled the restaurant up and over. On one episode, after the restaurant was doing great, one women was complaining about everything. He threw her out., told her the food was great and it was her problem. He does have a human side.
