I got quite a few this year and roasted some with just garlic powder and salt and some with garlic powder, salt, and paprika. Yum! Not too spicy, but they have a definite extra something. -- Lisa

I love spicy stuff I guess you could use less pepper for a mild version?

I love the idea of spicy-hot pumpkin seeds. Maybe I'll get enough to do some this way and some with just garlic salt like I usually do. YUM! Now I want to go get pumpkins *really* soon. -- Lisa

These sound deliciously different. I usually just roast mine with coarse salt. -- ~~"Crock Pot Queen" Sherrie

These sound spicy for pumpkin seeds. Please let me know how they are if anyone tries them! -- Jennifer "Every Saint Has A Past, Every Sinner Has A Future" -- Edited by 2864590 at 10/14/2008 9:27 PM PDT

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/emeril-lagasse/hildas-roasted-pumpkin-seeds-recipe/index.html Ingredients * 1 1/3 cups pumpkin seeds, cleaned and rinsed * 2 teaspoons garlic powder * 1 teaspoon salt * 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper * 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Directions Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Combine the pumpkin seeds with the garlic powder, salt, crushed red pepper, and black pepper on prepared baking sheet and toss to combine. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until seeds are crispy and light golden brown. Remove from the oven and stir with a spatula or wooden spoon to release any seeds that have stuck to the baking sheet, and cool completely before serving. Roasted seeds will keep in an airtight storage container for up to 1 week. Cook's Note: recipe may be scaled up proportionately.
