I have used Cheddar Cheese and Cream of Onion soup and the flavor is great. I use one can of each when the grandkids are coming for dinner and double the rest of the ingredients. I have switched several recipes that call for Cream of Mushroom to the Cheddar Cheese and Cream of Onion. One recipe was for a tuna casserole and my kids loved it growing up but now they only want the new recipe. There is never left overs when the kids and grandkids are here. When I am using a recipe that calls for one can of soup I mix a can of each then divide it in half and freeze one half for use later.

Not too bad. It is better on the first go around though. Not a really good leftover dish!

I love the sound of this recipe. Do the Frito's get soggy if you have left overs?

This is different! I have only made Frito Pie with chili, cheese, and onions. I'll have to try this . -- Jennifer When baking, follow directions. When cooking, go by your own taste.- Laiko Bahrs

Jess, thanks for reposting this. My kids are big Frito fans so this might be a winner at our house. I'll have to let ya know how it goes. It's very different than what we've done as far as Frito pies go. Normally we do more of a taco type meat mixture. This is an interesting version, for certain. ~Shan
