    Hi Delia, yes it is best to bake it in a 9 by 13 inch pan.

    this recipe was delicious but do make it in a 9x13 pan like it says or 2 8x8 pans otherwise it does not bake well i looked at the batter and thought there is not much for a 9x13 pan so i put it in a 8x8 pan and it was to much for that pan so in the middle it did not cook right but it was delicious

    Marie Callender's Corn Bread and Honey Butter~with~A Different recipe

    Marie Callender's Corn Bread and Honey Butter

    3/4 cup cornmeal
    2 1/4 cup flour
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 tbl baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    1 cup milk
    1 1/2 cup butter melted
    3 ea eggs beaten

    HONEY BUTTER
    1/4 cup honey
    1/2 cup butter - (1 stick) softened

    Preheat oven to 400 dF
    In a large bowl, mix together corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Blend well. Add milk, butter and eggs to blend.
    Pour into greased 9- by 13-inch pan. Bake 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
    Honey Butter: Mix honey and butter together. Can be stored in refrigerator for one week.

    A Different Corn Bread recipe:

    1 box (9 oz. size) Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix
    1 box (9 oz. size) Jiffy Yellow Cake Mix

    Cornbread: Prepare each box according to package directions and gently fold together.
    Pour into a greased (with strained bacon fat from below) 9 x 13 pan; (You can sprinkle with a little of the crisp bacon)
    Bake according to box directions for the yellow cake mix.

    A Different Honey Butter recipe:

    1/4 pound Butter
    1/2 cup Honey
    6 Bacon Slices Crisply Cooked And Crumbled

    Beat butter in a 1-1/2 qt bowl with electric mixer, high speed, till light and fluffy.
    Gradually on reduced speed, beat in honey and bacon, beating till thoroughly combined and smooth.
