I like seasoned salt on potatoes -french fries, baked , roasted etc. I like to use it in vegetable dishes and my son loves a little bit sprinkled on raw veggies as a snack-especially carrots, cauliflower , celery and radishes. I think it takes the place of salt in recipes-a tastier salt, but you still need to add pepper. My favorite brand is Lawry's. -- Jennifer "Every Saint Has A Past, Every Sinner Has A Future" -- Edited by 2864590 at 02/08/2009 10:30 PM PST

I like Lisa use it on meat instead of salt. When I am breading (flour and seasoning) something I use it instead of salt (you still need to add pepper sometimes). I like Season All by McCormick . It is wonderful on baked potatoes with butter or sour cream (O my yes). The regular version has no MSG, the low sodium has some. I also use it on chicken or turkey I bake to make the skin crisp and brown (pat the skin dry and grease the skin with oil or butter and sprinkle the out side of the bird with season all ). I also sprinkle it on fried eggs, most fresh cooked veggies, whole ear corn before roasting and on cooked burgers.

I love seasoned salt and consider it kind of a shortcut to seasoning anything to which I would normally add everything it contains (usually garlic powder, salt, onion powder, sometimes celery salt, whatever is listed on your particular bottle). I like to add it to my flour mixture along with some red or black pepper before breading chicken, pork chops, etc. I add some to soups, stews, boiled beans, use it to season steaks before broiling, and I've even tried it on popcorn for a little something different. There is virtually no end to the number of possibilities! I can't wait to see what everyone else uses it for. -- Lisa

I purchased this today for the first time, tried it on a little egg salad and it was sooo good. What recipes is it good for? What spices does it take the place of? Does it take the place of salt and pepper? I'm sort of lost on what recipes to use it in or what meat to sprinkle it on top of. Couldn't find much help on the internet.
