Recently my husband came up with a great idea. Each night at dinner, one of us would get to choose the dominant theme of conversation. The entire evening doesn't have to revolve around that same topic, but it serves as our starting off point.
This has been a fun way to make our family dinner more pleasant. My kid loves it when it's his night to choose our topic!
