I usually serve baked potatoes and balsalmic roasted asparagus or corn on the cob.. Usually, I make marinated shrimp skewers too-the surf n turf thing! It's our fav. dinner-just made it for Mother's Day! .....and Father's Day-lol! -- Jennifer When baking, follow directions. This is my absolute favorite steak-its flavorful and sooo tender.I prefer it instead of even rib- eyes! My husband and I make this at least every other weekend-sometimes more! 1 cup vegetable juice-recommended V-8 1/2 cup good quality vodka 1 teaspoon sea salt 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1 teaspoon hot sauce-recommended Tabasco 1 tablespoon fresh-squeezed lemon juice 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tablespoon crushed garlic 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon celery seed 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish 4 tablespoons olive oil 1 flank steak-(1-1/2 -2 pounds) Thoroughly mix all the ingredients except for the flank steak ia a gallon size zip lock bag.Pierce the flank steak several times with a fork and add it to the bag.Turn to coat. Marinate in the refrigerator overnight or at least 8 hours and up to 24 hours. Preheat grill to high.Remove flank steak from the marinade and wipe the excess liquid off with paper towels.Grill both sides to sear, then lower the heat to medium and cook to medium rare. Let the flank steak rest, covered, with a clean towel for 5-10 minutes.Cut on the bias against the grain and serve. -- Edited by 2864590 at 08/16/2007 4:22 PM
