My daughter had asked for Nacho's for dinner one night this week. She only likes cheese on her's, but this sounds really good for the rest of us. -- ~*~Angela~*~

Cin, that's the good thing about nachos -you can make them as hot or mild as you want. Although my hubby and I love heat ,we tone it down for Tyler, cause he's only 5 and we want him to be able to eat it too. But, I also want him to be able to eat moderately spicy food, since we live in Cali! My husband's mom has the tenderest mouth I've ever seen- she thinks mild salsa is too hot .....once at Thanksgiving she thought the green bean casserole was too hot because my mom put black pepper in it-lol! -- Jennifer When baking, follow directions. This is the dip I'm going to make for the Superbowl. 1/2 pound ground beef 1/2 pound chorizo 2 cans ( 16 ounces each) refried beans 1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chiles 3 cups ( 12 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese ( I'll add in some Monterey Jack too) 3/4 cup bottled taco sauce- I like Ortega or Taco Bell brand 3 large ripe avacados, peeled and pitted 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt 1 cup (8 ounces ) sour cream 1 medium tomato chopped 1/2 cup sliced black olives 1 bunch green onions , sliced Additional shredded cheese Tortilla chips In a large skillet, cook beef and chorizo until no longer pink; drain well. In a greased 13x 9 baking dish , layer the refried beans, meat mixture, chiles , cheese and taco sauce. Bake uncovered at 400 for 20 minutes. For the guacamole , mash the avacados in a small bowl.Stir in the lemon juice and garlic salt. Cool the nacho mixture for 5 minutes. Top with guacamole, sour cream, tomato, olives, and green onions. . Garnish with additional cheese and serve with tortilla chips. -- Jennifer When baking, follow directions. When cooking, go by your own taste.- Laiko Bahrs
