I have substituted several cream soups for cream of mushroom with great success. Cream of celery is a particular favorite because its flavor is mild and blends well. -- Lisa

Mary, although I haven't tried this myself, others who have left reviews with the recipe here at Campbell's mention substituting Cream of Celery, Cream of Broccoli and Cream of Chicken soups for the Mushroom, to deal with allergies or aversions.
