David..glad you bumped this recipe.. it looks good... I also have never thought of warm egg salad..it sounds really good! I like the idea of cheese on it too!

I sure am glad I stumbled onto this post for Broiled Egg Sandwiches from 2005. Didn't have muffins so used plain loaf bread toasted, made six pieces. This also used up a couple of leftover Easter eggs and tasted GREAT. -- ....... eat mo' grits

Star, I think it tastes so much better warmed up, rather than the traditional "cold" way. I think the crackers add a nice touch to it.

What an unusual and interesting recipe, Lisa! I adore egg salad, but have never had it warmed as this recipe is. Can't wait to give it a try.

Broiled Egg Sandwiches 3 hard cooked eggs 2 english muffins 5 saltine crackers crushed 1-2 ribs of celery chopped 1/2 C. mayonnaise 2 tbsp. milk dash of salt, pepper, & garlic salt Slice the english muffins in half and toast lightly in the toaster. Meanwhile in a bowl mix: chopped up hard boiled eggs, saltines, and celery. In a seperate bowl mix: milk, mayonaise, and spices. combine the two mixtures and place on top of each english muffin slice. Broil in the oven on low for a few minutes until lightly brown on top.
