Hi Kathy, Here is the recipe I use. It's very similar to the others except for the coconut. Unbaked Brownies 1/2 cup milk 1/2 cup butter 6 tbsp. cocoa 2 cups white sugar 3 cups oatmeal (or rolled oats) 1 cup coconut In a heavy saucepan, put the milk, butter, cocoa and sugar and bring to a full rolling boil, stirring. Remove from heat and add the oatmeal and coconut, mixing them in well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper immediately and allow to harden. Makes 30 - 40 -- Carol B.

Lisa, my recipe is so similar! We used to have these in the cafeteria at school, when i was a girl! Momma would make theml, and they were always a hit! Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies 2 cups sugar 1/4 cup cocoa 1/2 cup milk 5-tbs. butter 1 1/2 cup oatmeal 2/3 cup peanut butter 1 tsp. vanilla Combine in pot- sugar, cocoa, milk and butter. Cook until mixture boils. Remove from heat. Add remaining ingredients mix well until all the oatmeal is mixed in. Drop by spoonful on wax paper and cool.

As a child, my older sister would often make these no bake cookies. All I remember is they had cocoa and oatmeal in them. And, she didn't bake them, of course. Anyone know what I'm referring to?
