Momof3, a new recipe a week (and from the forums too!) is such a good idea. Sometimes it seems like I get into a bit of a rut with making the same things over and over, and that's a fine plan for mixing things up. I'll watch for your updates! • Janet

These sound so yummy! I bet as far as making it into a trifle, you could use blueberry as well. Or am I the only one that likes Chocolate/blueberry combo? lol -- ~*~Angela~*~

Hi Raschell! Welcome! Thank you sharing your recipe!I have a question......so you are putting raw egg yolks in the dessert? I have a concern with the eggs not being cooked. Girls...here's another no bake dessert that uses the Angel Food Cake. Another Easy Angel Dessert Using one of the ready made angel food cakes, make a Heath Bar Torte. One pre-made angel food cake 2 (12oz) containers of cool whip 6 Heath toffee bars, crushed Cut cake into 3 equal layers, mix crushed candy bars with one of the containers of cool whip. Take one cake layer and spread one half of cool whip\candy mix on top, lay next cake layer on top of that and spread cool whip\candy mix on top of that layer. Put last layer on top of the 2nd layer. Frost with the second tub of cool whip. I garnished with chocolate shavings on top. You could use any candy bar instead of the heath bars. The suggested Butterfinger would be good too (I've also done it with cutting Milky-Way or Snicker Bars into small chunks to mix into the cool whip...it's good that way too). Or you could do a Trifle, another easy one that looks like it took forever.....but didn't!!! You need a trifle dish. If you don't have one, use a large clear glass dish of some kind. 1 pre-made angel food cake cut into inch sized cubes 1 or 2 cans cherry(or any flavor) pie filling 1 or 2 (12oz) cool whip tubs, depending on size of your dish. Put a layer of angel food cake cubes in bottom of dish, follow with the pie filling, then the cool whip. Continue till dish is filled to desired height. Refrigerate till ready to serve. -- >> ~~>*>Cin(\0/)<*<~~ << >> ><(((*>Jesus<*)))>< <<

Love no-bake desserts in the summer. Think I'll buy the Angel cake though. Penny. -- chopsticks are the reason the Japanese did not invent custard

I am new here, and just want to share a dessert that I love. I have seen many of your posts, and am soooo happy that I found this forum. Angel Food Cake Dessert 1 homemade angel food cake 1/2 cup of butter 4 slightly beaten egg yolks 1-1/2 cups of powdered sugar 2 tsp pure vanilla extract 1 large tub of Cool Whip 4 Heath bars, crushed (I use a hammer) Tear angel food cake into small bite-sized pieces and place half of the pieces in the bottom of a 9x13 pan and set aside. Melt butter and let slightly cool. Add the egg yolks to the butter. Stir in powdered sugar and then fold in the Cool Whip. Pour half of the mixture over the angel food pieces. Top with half of the crushed candy bars. Add the remaining cake pieces over the candy and pour the remaining cool whip mixture over that. Sprinkle with the remaining crushed candy bars. Cover and refrigerate overnight. (If you can wait that long) These ARE easy dessert recipes aren't they? NOTE: You may also use crushed Butterfingers. Tell me what you think. I LOVE it!!!! -- Raschell a.k.a. "miss homemade"
